Jai Ramaswamy

Chief Legal & Policy Officer, Andreessen Horowitz

Jai Ramaswamy currently oversees the legal, compliance, and government affairs functions at Andreessen Horowitz as Chief Legal and Policy Officer. He was previously the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer at cLabs, working on Celo, a mobile-first platform that makes financial dApps and crypto payments accessible to anyone with a mobile phone.

Jai also spent several years in the financial services industry as the Head of Enterprise Risk Management at Capital One and the Global Head of AML Compliance Risk Management at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch. Before joining the private sector, he served for over a decade at the Department of Justice, as a white collar crime prosecutor in the Southern District of New York, at headquarters in the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section, and later as Chief of the Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Section.

Jai has an undergraduate degree in government and economics from Harvard University, a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and a doctorate in social and political science from Cambridge University.

Mark Pike

Associate General Counsel, Anthropic

Mark Pike is Associate General Counsel at Anthropic, the AI safety and research company behind Claude. He joined Anthropic in September 2023 and is based in San Francisco, California.

Throughout his career, Pike has worked across platform policy, intellectual property, and privacy, helping shape legal strategy at some of the most innovative technology companies. Prior to Anthropic, Pike spent over seven years at Slack as Senior Director of Product Legal, joining when the company was still a few hundred employees and remaining through its $27.7 billion acquisition by Salesforce in 2021. Before Slack, he spent more than six years at Facebook in roles spanning platform policy, intellectual property, and privacy.

Earlier in his career, Pike also worked at McCandlish & Lillard and the Electronic Privacy Information Center. He holds an A.B. in Public Policy Studies and Documentary Studies from Duke University and a J.D. from William & Mary Law School.

Danielle Benecke

Founder, Baker McKenzie Applied AI

Danielle Benecke is the Founder and global head of Baker McKenzie's Machine Learning Practice, an industry-leading venture that combines the firm's legal domain expertise with advanced data science and machine learning.

She was previously a senior lawyer in Baker McKenzie's IP and Technology Practice and a regional leader of its Reinvent innovation program. Danielle has also served on the firm's Global Digital Media and Copyright Steering Committee and North America IP and Technology leadership team.

Danielle has a Masters of Law, Science, and Technology from Stanford University, where she was previously a member of the Graduate School of Business' Venture Studio and a Fellow of the Legal Design Lab and has served as venture coach in CodeX's AI and Law program.

Wendy Butler Curtis is Orrick's Chief Innovation Officer. Named among the Top 10 "Leading Intrapreneurs" of the past 20 years and the "Most Innovative Lawyer of the Year" in 2018 by the Financial Times, Wendy leads Orrick's efforts to operationalize innovation through novel products, streamlined processes, technology, and client consulting on tailored solutions.

These efforts have contributed to Orrick being named among the Top 10 Most Innovative Law Firms Globally of the past 20 years by the Financial Times. In 2018, The American Lawyer also honored Orrick with its first-ever Legal Services Innovation Award.

Wendy leads an innovation team of lawyers, technologists, developers, project managers, and business professionals. She is also recognized by Chambers as a leading individual, nationally, in the area of eDiscovery.

Chief Innovation Officer, Wilson Sonsini

Annie Datesh is Wilson Sonsini's Chief Innovation Officer. In this role, she works closely with firm management to set the firm's innovation strategy, develop and implement legal technology programs for the firm and its clients, and support both internal and client teams on the legal and operational implications of emerging technologies and business models in the legal industry.

Previously, Annie was a corporate and securities attorney in the firm's Palo Alto office with a focus on representing companies at all stages of their lifecycle, from incorporation through fundraising, public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. Annie also has in-house experience, including being seconded to Square, Inc. during its IPO and serving on the leadership team at a venture-backed legal tech start-up.

Eric Greenberg

Eric Dodson Greenberg is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Cox Media Group, a multi-platform media company based in Atlanta that serves major U.S. media markets. CMG is a portfolio company of Apollo Global Management.

Eric is a member of the company's executive leadership team, and leads the company's M&A initiatives, coordinates its ESG efforts, oversees litigation and commercial negotiations, and works closely with his CEO and Apollo on strategic planning.

In 2016, Eric was a winner of the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Award. He has been a thought-leader on topics ranging from legal technology and AI to the changing role of the GC. He received a J.D. with high honors from The George Washington University Law School and an undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Tufts University.

Israel Ismail

Israel Ismail is the General Counsel, Americas at Signify, the world's largest lighting and technology company. Over a 20+ year career spanning the semiconductor, consumer electronics, healthcare, and lighting industries, he has built high-performing legal functions inside multinationals across four continents.

At Signify, Israel also served as Global Head of Compliance, with responsibility for Export Controls, Privacy, Anti-Corruption/Anti-Bribery, and Antitrust. He began his career in civil and criminal litigation in Singapore, representing clients before the Court of Appeal in landmark, precedent-setting cases.

Today, his focus extends beyond legal risk management. He leads the digital and AI transformation of Signify's global legal function, building frameworks, workflows, and governance structures that allow legal teams to operate at the speed and scale that modern business demands.

Connor Kuratek

Deputy General Counsel, CCO & Corporate Secretary, Marsh

Connor Kuratek serves as Deputy General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary of Marsh, the world's leading professional services firm in risk, strategy, and people.

Prior to his current role, Connor served as Chief Corporate Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary. Before going in-house, he spent more than five years at Davis Polk as a capital markets associate before joining Marsh in 2016.

During his tenure, Connor has steered Marsh's largest acquisition in its 116-year history and helped establish the company's ESG reporting function. He was named a Rising Star at Corporate Secretary's 2019 Corporate Governance Awards. He holds a degree from Columbia University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Ilona Logvinova

Ilona Logvinova is the Chief AI Officer at HSF Kramer and leads the firm's AI strategy, embedding AI across the firm's global practices.

Previously, Ilona led Cleary Gottlieb's AI innovation and transformation efforts, including oversight of the firm's in-house AI development team following the acquisition of Springbok.ai. Before Cleary, she served as Managing Counsel for the technology legal team within McKinsey Digital and as the global Head of Innovation for McKinsey Legal. Earlier roles include Senior Counsel at Mastercard and Associate at Fried Frank.

Ilona advises startup and growth-stage companies in the Legal AI space. She holds a BA in Economics and Philosophy from Columbia University and a JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

Dr. Megan Ma

Dr. Megan Ma

Executive Director, Stanford liftlab

Dr. Megan Ma is the Executive Director of the Stanford Legal Innovation through Frontier Technology Lab (liftlab). Her research focuses on the use and integration of generative AI in legal applications and the translation of legal knowledge to code. She also teaches courses in computational law at the Law School and Department of Computer Science.

Dr. Ma is Editor-in-Chief for the Cambridge Forum on AI, Law, and Governance, the Managing Editor of the MIT Computational Law Report, and a Senior Research Affiliate at Singapore Management University. Megan received her PhD in Law at Sciences Po and was a lecturer there, having taught courses in Artificial Intelligence and Legal Reasoning. She has previously been a Visiting PhD at the University of Cambridge and Harvard Law School.

David Moyer

David Moyer is Chevron's Deputy General Counsel for Corporate Capability. He previously served as Chevron's Chief Corporate Counsel and as General Counsel, Chevron Africa and Latin America Exploration and Production Company. David joined Chevron in 2008 after 12 years of law firm practice.

He has been a member of the adjunct faculty for Stanford Law School's Trial Advocacy Workshop since 2005, and previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of International Energy Negotiators and the Advisory Board of the Institute for Energy Law.

David earned a BA in International Relations from Stanford University and a JD from the University of Illinois. He served on active duty in the U.S. Army from 1983 to 1989.

Léo Murgel is Senior Vice President for Salesforce Legal and Corporate Affairs (LCA) Tech, Data, Ops Innovation, & Enablement. In this role, Léo leads the way in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of LCA by leveraging multiple strategies in operational excellence to support the 500+ strong organization.

Prior to this role, Léo was Vice President for IT Mergers & Acquisitions, where he was responsible for the due diligence and complete IT integration of 20+ Salesforce acquisitions. Léo has also led Salesforce's IT Program Management Office and held similar leadership roles for global retailers, technology consultancies, and engineering firms.

Léo holds a bachelor's degree from UC Davis and further Business Administration and Project Management Education from UC Berkeley.

Mr. Narayan has been named a Dealmaker of the Year by The American Lawyer, and a Leading Lawyer and a Leading Dealmaker by Lawdragon.

Mr. Narayan serves on the boards of the San Francisco Symphony and Stanford Law School. He received a B.A. from Yale University and a J.D. from Stanford Law School, where he was a member of the Stanford Law Review.

Mary O'Carroll is Executive in Residence at VC firm SignalFire. She is a senior executive, advisor, and board member focused on transforming how legal organizations operate, scale, and innovate.

Mary previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Goodwin, where she led global strategy and operations for a 1,000+ person professional services organization. Prior to Goodwin, Mary was Chief Community Officer at Ironclad. Before that, she spent 13 years at Google, where she served as Director of Legal Operations, Technology, and Strategy.

While at Google, Mary was a founder of the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC). She is the host of the legal innovation podcast Pearls On, Gloves Off, and her work has been featured in two Harvard Law School case studies.

Smita Rajmohan

Smita Rajmohan is Assistant General Counsel for Artificial Intelligence at Intuit, where she leads legal governance for AI initiatives across the company's financial technology platforms.

With over a decade of experience in technology law, Smita has previously held senior roles at Autodesk, where she served as head of the AI Group, and at Apple, where she helped launch innovative hardware products including the iPad, AirTag, and AirPods. She began her career in the IP and technology transactions teams at Cooley and Kirkland & Ellis.

Smita is an active contributor to AI policy, serving as Vice Chair of the AI Policy Committee of IEEE USA and as a member of the NIST AI Safety Consortium.

Scott Reents

Scott B. Reents focuses on electronic discovery and the application of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies to legal practice at Cravath, Swaine & Moore.

Mr. Reents represents clients in a variety of litigation matters, regulatory matters and internal investigations. He oversees the firm's data analytics and eDiscovery work and speaks and writes about topics related to digital evidence and AI. Mr. Reents serves on several working groups and commissions focused on the effective use of technology in legal practice and the courts.

Mr. Reents received a B.A. in Economics from Swarthmore College and a J.D. from Stanford Law School. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Reents worked in the technology industry for eight years.

Damien Riehl is a technology lawyer who clerked for state and federal judges, litigated for 15 years, and helped companies with cybersecurity. At Clio, Damien and his team combine the Business of Law and Practice of Law, using Generative AI to extract and generate valuable insights from a dataset of over one billion legal documents worldwide.

At SALI and FOLIO, Damien has built and expanded an ontology of over 18,000 legal tags, effectively standardizing legal data.

Elspeth White

Co-Head of Legal, Google DeepMind

Elspeth White is Co-Head of Legal at Google DeepMind, where she helps researchers work toward their goal of advancing AI for the benefit of humanity. She leads a team of commercial and IP lawyers who partner closely with DeepMind's researchers, as well as a Legal Operations team focused on maximizing the efficiency of the legal function.

A former computer scientist with a lifelong passion for machine learning, Elspeth has spent over 15 years working with AI technologies across a range of legal roles. Her career spans drafting and prosecuting patents in the AI space in both private practice and in-house at Google, developing and executing comprehensive IP strategies at Google and at X, Alphabet's Moonshot Factory.

Some of her most meaningful work has been at the intersection of AI and real-world problems, including helping DeepMind share its AlphaFold research that revolutionized protein folding predictions with the world.
